William "Paul" Alexander

William “Paul” Alexander, age 85, of Glenwood, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.

He was born on May 16, 1937, in Prescott, the son of Fred Davis Alexander and Jo Anna Peterson Alexander.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, R.B. Alexander; and his sister, Ann Smith.

On October 9, 1959, Paul married the true love of his life, Patsy Pounds.  He was a faithful member of the Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, where he served for many years as Deacon, Sunday school director and music director.  Paul gave many years of his life to our country, having proudly served in the United States Air Force, where he retired after twenty years of dedicated service.  Following his retirement from military service, Paul worked for many years in security at multiple lumber companies.

Paul was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, whose greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.  Our hearts are broken that our wonderful Paul had to leave us so soon, but we take great comfort in knowing that he is now in a much better place and we will have the joy of seeing him again soon.  So, for now we will all miss him terribly, but will hold close in our hearts all of the cherished memories he has left each of us.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patsy Alexander of Glenwood; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Kellie Alexander of Kirby and Keith and Tiffany Alexander of Camden; four grandchildren and their spouses, Krista and Austin Cogburn, Keigan Reed, Drew and Jennifer Alexander and Zak Alexander; his step-grandchildren and their spouses, Sydney and Benton Dillon, Dustin and Elisabeth O’Neal, Anna Jones, Kandy and James Owens, Matt and Sarah O’Neal, Micah and Dyana O’Neal and Gage and Lecie O’Neal; numerous great-grandchildren; his brother, Fred Davis Alexander of Morrilton; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 2, 2023, in the Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Kyle Cowart and Bro. Bobby Lock officiating.

There will be a special time to visit with the family on Tuesday, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, prior to the services at the church.
