Willard A. Solomon, 88, of Little Rock, passed away May 15, 2010. Born on December 15, 1921 in Excel, Alabama to John A. Solomon and Annie Stiles Solomon. He was a member of First Baptist in Little Rock and was a 32nd Degree Mason (Valley of Little Rock). Willard graduated from high school in Evergreen, Alabama in 1940, and was also a graduate of Draughon's School of Business in 1942, attended Officers Training School in New London, CT and served in the United States Merchant Marines from 1942 to 1947. He retired from AP&L/Entergy as a Plant Consultant.
Mr. Solomon is survived by his wife, Katherine Pruitt Solomon of Little Rock, sons, Tom Solomon (Brenda) of Haslet, TX, Randy Solomon of Allen, TX; grandchildren, David Solomon of Maumelle, AR, Ryan Solomon of Lewisville, TX, Brea Zabrowski (Brad) of Hawaii, Kevin, Nick and Mark Solomon of Allen, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law, Beth Solomon.
Services will be Tuesday, May 18 at 12:00 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), officiated by Dr. Jim Lagrone. Visitation will be prior to the service starting at 11:30a.m. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, AR.
