Will Piper

Will Piper, 47, passed away on Sunday, August 8th, 2021. Will was born to Harold Wayne and Margaret Stagg Piper in Little Rock, Arkansas on February 4, 1974. He attended Oak Grove School from kindergarten through graduation. While attending UCA  he was a member of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. Will was a member of the Cleaton A. Boyles Chapter of the Order of the DeMolay.

Will began working as a teenager at Wild River Country and spent his remaining career in the banking industry.  He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, and anything around water. Will was a proud member of the Flatlanders Ridge Hunting Club in Drasco, AR. He also served as Coach for his sons’ sporting teams. Will loved the AR Razorbacks and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 20 years, Lori Piper; sons A.J. and Cole Piper; mother Margaret Piper; sister Sherri Ward; brother Jimmy Ward; mother-in-law Jennie Benton (Jim); aunts: Alisa Smith (Jim), Debbie Cochran, Pam Stroud (Larry) Nina McGehee and Becky Howeth (Bob); great-aunts, Sue McEuen and Mary Ann Smith; cousins: Dennis Smith (Erah), Jeff Smith (Erika), Jimmy Gray Smith (Julie), and Nick Smith (Brandy); nieces and nephews: Megan Shipps (Danny), Tyler Ward (Amanda), Lukas Montgomery (Angel), Savanna Cathey (Ryan), Alexander Ward (Heather), and Maggie Ward;

Will had a multitude of close friends, including Honorary Pallbearers:  Jackie Turner, Matt Jordan, Kipp Platt, John Alston, Brandon Clemons, Corey Culp and Erik Cox.

Will is preceded in death by his father, Harold Piper, father-in-law Larry "Goose" Garrison, and best friend, Troy “Pee Wee” Barnhart.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Missions and Youth Fund at Lakewood United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Lakewood United Methodist Church.  The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.
