Wilburn Taylor

Wilburn Pierce ?Dub? Taylor (also known as ?Shorty? or ?Shortman? to many) folded his wings and passed to a better place on December 4, 2007 at the age of 87 years, 6 months and 7 days. Dub was born in Waco, Texas on May 27, 1920 to Johnnie Pearce Taylor and William Pierce Taylor.
He was a proud member of the 5th Air Force, 22nd Bomb Group, 2nd Squadron in the Army Air Force during World War II where he served his country proudly and with honor. Returning home after the war, he continued to serve his countrymen in the Arkansas National Guard for a number of years. His life?s work was as an auto mechanic to which many will attest that he was one of the best around! His life?s pleasure was fishing for bass and he spent many wonderful retirement years doing just that.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of many years, Juanita Hall ?Skeeter? Taylor, and a dear brother, Vernon W. Taylor of Creston, Iowa.
Those wishing to honor Dub in his passing are asked to donate to the charity of their choice in his name.
