Wesley "Speedy" Tigue, age 75, of Nashville, died Sunday, December 4, 2011. He was born on May 8, 1936, at Amity, the son of Frank Tigue and Barbara Watts Tigue. On August 19, 1967, he was married to Sarah Tigue who preceded him in death on November 3, 2005. He was retired from Weyerhaeuser and a member of the IWA and Machinist Union. He was a Baptist in his faith. He is survived by his daughter, Shirley Bishop of Atlanta, Georgia; five grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two brothers, Ed Tigue of Kirby and Rufus Tigue of Hot Springs; three sisters, Barbara Lou Cox of Murfreesboro, Della Henthorn of Glenwood and Helen Spears of Amity; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 7, 2011, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Rev. Charles Chambers officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Coker Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Furr, Derek Furr, D. J . Wootten, Charlie Wootten, Johnny Wootten, Donnie Wootten, Curtis Wooten and David Furr. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
