Wesley Harold Brown, Jr., 67, of Bauxite, Arkansas passed away June 2, 2021. He was born March 18, 1954 in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late Wesley H. Brown, Sr. and Beulah (Payne) Brown.
Wesley was a devout Christian and member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Bauxite. He was diligient in reading and studying the Bible. Wesley was a graduate of the Woodlawn High School, Shreveport, Louisiana class of 1972 and was very active in the alumni. He graduated from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) in 1979 which he remained active with by working in partnership to assist students in course studies to help them pass the Journeyman’s exam. Wesley worked for General Motors for twenty-five years and retired in 2010. He was the owner of Wesley Brown Electric. He had an analytical mind which served him well as an electrician. Wesley enjoyed researching genealogy, playing chess and anything mathematical. Family was most important to Wesley. He cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren and would do anything for them. Wesley never met a stranger and had friends everywhere he went. Wesley was a fan of LSU and the New Orleans Saints. Wesley coached, umpired, and even taught dance lessons. This year he sponsored Benton Youth Sports Associations Cardinals’ team. Wesley was a very generous man who was selfless. His desire was to serve and help others.
Preceding Wesley in death are his parents; sisters: Gayle Murphy and Vickie Goode; brother, Ricky Dale Brown; and his second wife, Sandra Renee Brown.
Wesley leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of seven years, Charlene Brown; five children: Staci and husband Donny Boudreaux, Kenneth and wife Miyo Brown, Michael and wife Amber Brown, Wesley H. Brown, III, and Jessica and husband Bryan King; step-children: Bryan Wilson, Brooke and husband Bryan Castleberry, and Jeremiah Wilson; fourteen grandchildren: Lynnli Anderson, Tyler Wilson, Hunter King, Destin King, Wesley H. Brown, IV, Yzabella Brown, Connor King, Kaydin King, Baylee Castleberry, Haylee Wilson, Aidyn Brown, Ryeli Brown, Hope Brown, and Sandra Ryan Brown; brothers: Billy and wife Toni Brown, Bobby and wife Sheila Brown, and Terry Brown; sister, “Sally” Marie Brown; and many family members and friends who love Wesley and will miss him always.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 12 at De Berry Baptist Church, 2084 FM-31, De Berry, Texas 75639.
