Windell Clowers Sr.

Windell Clowers Sr., 86, of Benton, passed away August 3, 2023. Windell was born March 25, 1937 to the late Willie Clowers and Effie (Crawford) Clowers.

Windell loved chickens and gardening. One of his favorite activities was working and playing on his backhoe. Windell worked for the State Highway Department for over 25 years. He was a simple man and lived a happy simple life. Windell loved being at home and watching old western movies, especially Gunsmoke and anything with John Wayne.

Windell is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Sue Clowers; and six siblings.

Windell is survived by his daughters, Gina (Fred) Walker and Melinda Clowers; son, Wendell (Anita) Clowers Jr., grandchildren, Christon (David), Tara, Brian, Amanda (Terryl) and Nicki (Payton) and Cameron; five great-grandchildren; as well as host of other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Visitation is Friday, August 11^th, from 12:00 - 1:00 PM, with Memorial Service starting at 1:00 PM at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton.
