Welton Harold Meddley age 72 of Arkadelphia died Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at his home. He was born September 13, 1936 in Clark County Arkansas the son of the late Harrison and Dora Pierce Meddley. Welton was a painter and retired from United States Air Force after over twenty years of service. He was a member of Hollywood Baptist Church and a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Meddley; step-daughter, Tresia; sister, Elaine McDermott and brother, Harold Junior Meddley.
Survivors include two daughters, Tonya Walker of Arkadelphia; Melanie Blair of Panama City, FL; three grandchildren, Vanessa Kissinger and Brittany Blair both o f Panama City, FL; Laura Ladnier of Arkadelphia; one brother, Wain (Margie) Meddley of Malvern, AR; two sisters, twin sister, Helen (Hansel) Hill of Alpine, AR: Vera (Warren) Smith of Hot Springs, AR; two special nephews Steve and Michael Hill both of Alpine, AR; one special niece, Theresa Sutton of Alexander, AR; six nephews and four nieces.
Graveside services with military honors will be at 2:00 PM Friday, March 6, 2009 at Golden Cemetery with Bro Charlie Williams officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.
