Wayne Woods

Wayne H. "Pop" Woods 86, of East End went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 4, 2014 while surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was a retired welder from Hogan's Construction Company and a founding member of Jone's Hunting Club. He was a very faithful and active member of Forest Tower Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty Woods of East End; three daughters, Brenda Hatley, Carol Ham, both of East End and Nicki Woods of Camden; A daughter-in-law, Jodi Woods of East End; a son, Michael Woods and his wife Crystal of Sheridan; two brothers, Charles Woods and Darrill Woods; four sisters, Ruth McAndrews, Darlene Hodges, Lil Cotrell and Lodi Neal; fifteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, David Woods; daughter, Sheila Woods and one brother, L.B. Woods.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to his granddaughter and best friend, Stacy Moltz.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday at Forest Tower Baptist Church. Burial will be at Salem Cemetery in East End. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m.to 4:00 p.m., Sunday at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com
