Wayne Scott Sexton, 83 of Sherwood, Arkansas went to be with his Savior on Monday, March 8, 2021. Wayne was born December 26, 1937 in Pennington Gap, Virginia to the late Jonnie and Elizabeth Sexton. He is survived by his wife, Rose (Kularb) Sexton; brother, James (Jimmy); children, James (Dwight) and his wife Debra, Victoria (Sissy) and her husband Travis Warren, Wayne and his wife Melissa, David and Jacqulyn (Jackie); seven grandchildren, Ashley, Christopher, Nicole, Shaelyn, Quinlan, Daniel, John one great-grandchild, Aspen; and his extended family of people in his life. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gloria Jean; and son, Robert.

Wayne was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He served his country with the same dedication for 23 years in the Army. He started his service in the National Guard and his mission memories were the Little Rock Nine and the Vietnam Campaign.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM Monday, March 15, 2021 at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Hwy 107). Graveside will be private for family afterwards.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a Veterans organization of your choice.
