Wayne Monroe Beals of Arkadelphia went to be with his Lord and Saviour, Tuesday, December 7, 2010. He was born March 6, 1939, the son of the late Monroe and Lilly Cobb Beals. Wayne was a carpenter,painter, as well as a member and deacon of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved to dance. His wife, Mary Catherine Beals; one daughter, Melinda Shaw; three brothers, Charles Beals; Richard Beals; William Gene Beals and one infant sister preceded him in death.
Survivors are two sons, Michael Wayne Beals and wife, Barbara of Paris, Arkansas; Tim Beals of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Amanda Giedd; Jennifer; Jessica and Elizabeth Shaw; Brandon and Amber Beals; one great-grandchild, Makyala Giedd; four brothers, Orville Beals of Bonnerdale, Arkansas; Doyle Beals and wife, Betty; Milton Beals all of Hot Springs, Arkansas; Ron Beals and wife, Kaye of Royal, Arkansas; one sister, Thelma Garrett of Royal, Arkansas; a special friend and sugar, Diane Wallace; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 10th at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Dr. John Small and Rev. Phillip Runyan officiating. Interment will be in Golden Cemetery. The body will lie in state at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home on Thursday, 1:00 - 8:00 P.M. Pallbearers will be Tommy Weeks, David Paul Beals, Mike Shaw, Barry Francis, Trent and Darrell Beals. Honorary pallbearers are Ron Beaty, Chad Rogers, Grady Runyan and Mike Harris.
