Warner Peter Garrison, 92, went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 13, 2024. He was born May 1, 1931 in Cynthiana, KY to Herbert C. Garrison and Mary Elizabeth Zeigler. He was an avid reader, loved listening to music, and playing golf. He was a member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church of Conway, Arkansas and former member of Tallahassee Heights United Methodist Church. He served 22 years in the United States Air Force and retired as Master Sergeant. He was a Mason, a Shriner, and Past Master of Ashmore Lodge No. 102. He was a life member of Crawford Lodge No. 294, Curfew Lodge No. 73, and Tallahassee Scottish Rite. He was the charter recorder of Marzuq Shrine Temple from 1989-1999; and member of Tallahassee Elks Lodge #937. Mr. Garrison is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Jeanette Long Garrison; sisters Virginia Garrison Jones and Marguerite Garrison; sons, Michael Garrison and Donald Garrison; and half-brothers Ritzel and Tom.
He is survived by his son, James (Len) Ragsdell of Greenbrier, Arkansas; daughter, Elizabeth Craft of Lawrence Kansas; daughter-in-law Pat Garrison of Fairfield Ohio; grandsons, Steven (Melanie) Garrison of Tallahassee, Florida; Bobby (Rhonda) Garrison of Tupelo, Mississippi; granddaughters, Jocelyn (Joel) Mathis of Lawrence Kansas; Rebecca (John) Phillians of Cordova, Tennessee; Jessica (Johnny) Deloach and Tiffany Ragsdell of Greenbrier, Arkansas; Amanda (Daniel) Neylon and Jennifer Garrison of Columbus, Ohio; and twelve great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at Woodland Heights Baptist Church in Conway, Arkansas on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Larry White officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Renewal Ranch, 75 Lake Drive, Houston, AR 72070.
A second Memorial Service will be held at Tallahassee Heights UMC with internment at Wakulla UMC in Crawfordville, FL at a date to be determined. Memorials may be made to either church.
