Wanda Thompson Berry

Wanda Faye Berry, affectionately known as Mimi to all her grandkids, passed away today. Born on February 24, 1939, to Shadrach and Donnie Dye, Wanda lived a life full of love and warmth.

She is survived by her three children: Michelle Womble, Michael Thompson, and Joshua (Ginger) Thompson. Her legacy continues through her six grandchildren: Gretchen (Rick) Baggett, Michael (Carrie) Womble, Jeffrey (Lindsey) Thompson, Jennifer Thompson, Coty (Milah) Thompson, and Ashlyn Thompson. Wanda was also blessed with three great-grandchildren: Austin (Suzanna) Ruble, Mason Womble, and Aiden Womble, along with three great-great-grandchildren: Weston, Oakley, and Waylon.

She was proceeded in death by 7 siblings and her loving spouses, Thomas Thompson and George Berry. Wanda was an employee with the state of Arkansas and retired in 2012. Her dedication to her work was evident throughout her career, earning her respect and admiration of her colleagues.

Wanda has been a member of the Connection Church of Sherwood for many years. Her commitment to her faith and community was exemplary, and she found joy in serving others through the church's various outreach programs.

Wanda’s memory will forever be cherished by her family and all who knew her. She will be remembered for the immense love she had for her family, her kind spirit, and the warmth she brought into every room. May she rest in peace.
