Wanda Mae Pool

Wanda Mae Pool was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on April 18, 2022, at age 80 after a lengthy illness.

She was born on April 28, 1941, in Clovis, New Mexico to Jack and Ethel Reeves. Wanda married David S. Pool in June of 1967. She never remarried after the death of her husband, David Pool, who predeceased her by 41 years.

The simplest pleasures in life brought immense joy to Wanda – time with her children and grandchildren, reading, and listening to Gaither Family music. Her recent years were spent trying to be the best-dressed sweetheart in a wheelchair at Good Shepherd Rehab and Nursing Facility, always insisting on fresh haircuts, painted nails, and a colorful outfit.

Wanda will be sorely missed by her two children and spouses, Theresa & Bobby Riggs, and David & Kathy Pool; grandchildren, Tonya Zambrano, David Riggs, Robbi Rosenbaum, Amanda Pool, Jessica Simpson, Joshua Pool, Kasi Baumgardner, Chris Baumgardner, Jenna Baumgardner, Jeremy Pool, and Aaron Pool; and many great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband David S. Pool, son Jerry Pool, sister Marie Reeves, and brothers Robert Reeves and Dale Reeves.

The family would like to especially thank DeeDee and the other caregivers of Baptist Health Hospice for your constant care, gentleness, and support given to Wanda; and to Good Shepherd Rehab and Nursing Facility for the kindness and great care that you provided.

A celebration of Wanda’s life will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas (501 N. Shackleford Road) on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at 2pm.
