Wanda J. McConnell, of North Little Rock born November18, 1936 in Whelen Springs, Arkansas to Leonard and Hazel Harper passed away on December 5, 2015. Wanda grew up in Whelen Springs and Gurdon, Arkansas. She graduated from Henderson State University where she received her teaching degree.
She was married to Lt. Col. James O. McConnell in 1955 and they were married for 57 years.
Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, James O. McConnell; and her parents, Leonard and Hazel Harper. Wanda is survived by her daughter, Cynthia McDoniel (George) of Batesville; son, Jimmy (Melinda), of North Little Rock; four grandchildren, Kristen Reynolds, Brittany Fulbright, Logan and Landon McConnell; and four great-grandchildren, Peyton, Kyleigh, Blakeleigh and Jaxon.
Services will be a family graveside service in Nashville, Arkansas.
