Wanda Faye Lambert, age 85, of Bismarck, died Tuesday, January 5, 2016.
She was born on April 22, 1930, in the Beaton Community in Bismarck, the daughter of Wallace Diffee and Nellie Bennett Diffee. She was preceded in death by two infant children, Nancy and JR, her parents, and two brothers, Kenneth Edwin Diffee and Gary Neil Diffee.
She retired from the United States Postal Service, and was a member of Beaton Church. She enjoyed listening to and singing gospel music, and was a student of Christ who spent many hours reading and learning scriptures. She was passionate about spending time at yard sales, designing and sewing clothes, and was always ready to cook for those she loved or contribute a recipe to a community cookbook. Wanda loved her family to her very core and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, J. T. "Bob" Lambert, daughter Cynthia Lamm, grandson, Steven Lamm, and his fiancée, Emily Flick; Doug Lamm, who she considered a son, and his wife Shanna Lamm; three sisters and brother-in-law, Margie Schneller, of Bismarck, Johnnie Ruth Crow, of New DeRoche, Barbara and Carl Hardage, of Bismarck and sister-in-law Debbie Diffee, of Bismarck; numerous other extended family members; and a host of friends.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 8, 2016, in the Beaton Church in Bismarck with Bro. Rick Collie officiating.
Visitation will be held Friday, 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, at the Beaton Church.
Interment will be in the Beaton Cemetery in Bismarck under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home, Arkadelphia. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Lambert, Donnie Lambert, Tony Hardage, Shan Hardage, Steven Lamm and Doug Lamm. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Massey and Melvin Bingham.
