Wanda Jean Golden

Wanda Jean Golden, age 91, of Kirby, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 3, 2024.

She was born on December 11, 1932, the daughter of Walter Parker and Willie Belle Dwyer Parker. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Jimmy Tedder; her two brothers, Harold and Freeman Parker; and her two sisters-in-law, Juanita Parker and Dorothy Parker.

Wanda was a Christian mother. She loved to serve others, spending many years in home health. She loved all flowers and could grow anything. Most of all she loved being around her family. Wanda was the most loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Bruce and Rebel Golden of Kirby, Jeannie and Eddie Turner of Kirby, and Harold and Kelly Golden of Hot Springs; her five grandchildren, Melissa Niederhofer, Samantha St. Cricq, Jeromy Brewer, Jeffrey Golden, and Rachel Golden; her five great-grandchildren, Charlie, Corey, Jolie, Jena, and Jolena; her brother, Hershel Parker of Hackett; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 10:00 at the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Owens officiating.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, 209 North 3rd Street, Glenwood, AR 71943.

Interment will be held at Bear Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Golden, Jeromy Brewer, Micah Niederhofer, Charles White, Jacob Risner, and Matt Turner. 

Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff of Hospice Homecare. Thank you for your wonderful care.
