Walter Turner, age 91, of Kirby, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024.
He was born on March 31, 1933, in Kirby, the son of Leamon Jones Turner and Era Johnson Turner. He was married to his special lady, Imogene Golden, on July 5, 1952. He was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church along with his family. He loved the community and was a proud supporter of the Kirby Trojans where his children and grandchildren participated in sports and other school activities. He was so looking forward to seeing the first game in the new Kirby Gymnasium.
