Walter Smith

Walter Dwight Smith, age 73 of North Little Rock was born January 14, 1943, passed away December 9, 2016. He was born in Little Rock to the late Wilton T. and Iwanda Reames Smith.
Walter was a professional truck driver for over 50 years, owning the Pacific East Transportation Company for 33 years, and was a member of Arkansas Trucking Association. His greatest joy in life was trucks, truckers and family. He enjoyed eating and telling stories with his cronies on Sunday mornings.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Wayne Smith. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Smith of 44 years; daughters, Sheila Smith Rowert, Gina Smith, and Pamela (Jeff) Johnson; sons, Billy Wiley and Darrell (Dawn) Wiley; grandchildren, Steven and Chelsea, Haley, Brandon and Zoey; great-grandchildren, Stevie, Nevaeh, Karson and Kalieb; mother-in-law Clairse Barnes, brothers George and John Smith, and sisters Carolyn and Pat.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Hills Memorial Park. Online guestbook at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
