Walter McKamy

Walter McKamy met his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 5, 2010. He was born on February 10, 1949 in Groves, Texas to Charles and Viola McKamy. A loving husband, father and Grampy, he enjoyed being with his family, especially his two granddaughters. He left a loving wife, Linda (Tapley) McKamy; their 40th wedding anniversary would have been Saturday, October 9, 2010. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve for six years and owned River City Sign Company for 35 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Sherwood. He is survived by a daughter Christi (Michael) Treat of Conway and a son Todd (Beth) McKamy of Spring, Texas. He was Grampy to two granddaughters; Kamy Lee and Mattie Lauren Treat of Conway; two sisters Leah Sears of North Little Rock and Wanda Martar of Conway and a host of close family,good friends and special Street Rod Buddies.
A visitation will be Friday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Huson funeral home, 7700 Highway 107, Sherwood, AR. 72120. A private memorial service will be held. He requested no funeral services.
The family would like to thank the wonderful care givers from Arkansas Hospice. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Arkansas Hospice Foundation.
