Walter "Red" Jackson Jr., 71, of Austin died Friday September 25, 2009. He was born May 18, 1938 to Walter "Buck" and Allie Jackson. He was an instrumental member of his community, as evidenced by his role in the establishment of the Tri Community Volunteer Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Lucille, and his son; David. He is survived by his daughter; Carolyn (Eric) Harbort of Ward, his son; Walter Ray (Angela) Jackson of Sasakwa, Oklahoma, one brother and two sisters; J.D. Jackson and Clarice Fonville both of North Little Rock, and Gladys Rollins of North Little Rock, five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
