Walter Wilhelm Thomas Iwon ("Big Wally"), born 1933 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Carl and Frieda Iwon, passed away May 24, 2014 in Little Rock after a brief illness. Wally was predeceased by his dear wives, Joan Smithson Iwon and Jean Freuden Iwon. Wally was a Renaissance man - pharmacist, chemist, engineer, realtor, investor, great golfer, basketball player (was heavy and hard in the paint), horseman, card player, traveler, father, grandparent and lover of life. A man of few words, he loved a good bargain.
He is survived by his children, Dana, Lise, Michael and Toby, their spouses and children, his sister, Elaine Frahmann, Sue Collova and Jim Smithson, oodles of nieces, nephews and friends in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
Services are private. A contribution to the charity of your choice in Wally's name would be a waste of money in Wally's opinion. Keep your money.
Arrangements by Little Rock Funeral Home, (501)224-2200. Wally's online guestbook may be signed at www.littlerockfuneralhome.com.
