Walter Doyle Dycus, 87, of North Little Rock passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020. He was born October 4, 1932 in Mayflower, Arkansas to Foster and Delia Dycus.
He and his brothers owned Dycus Brothers Masonry for 25 years and he later operated D & H Auto for 19 years. He served in the United States Army, was a charter member of Scott Pentecostal Church and especially loved fishing and hunting and other sports.
Walter is survived by his three daughters, Donna Dycus, Janet and Benny Pate, all of North Little Rock and Rhonda and Harold Henderson, of England; three grandchildren, Holly Peaster (Maurice), Wesley Henderson (Lorey) and Benjamin Pate (Kayla); five great-grandchildren, Holden Williams, Molli Williams, Alivia Pate, Bennett Pate and Viviana Pate; siblings, Theodore Dycus, Laverne Green, Polly Wickliffe, Syble Ussery, Hershel Dycus (Madonna), Kaye Thomas, Bobby Dycus (Mary) and Pam Moore (Richard). He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alice Dycus; son, Randal Doyle Dycus; daughter-in-law, Kristie Dycus; grandson, Waylon Dycus; sister, Allene Walls and his brother, Buryl Dycus.
A visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 24th at Scott United Pentecostal Church. Burial will be in Mayflower Cemetery.
