Walter "Pete" Dukes, Jr., 81, of Beebe, Arkansas, was born February 6, 1928, at North Little Rock, Arkansas, to Walter S. and Lora Fitts Sanders Dukes, and went to be with the Lord, after a long courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, March 07, 2009, at the V.A. Hospital, Little Rock, Arkansas.
Walter is survived by his wife Jane Dukes; a son, Gary Dukes both of the home; granddaughters, Ellen Dukes Farquhar of Benton and Leslie Dukes Silvey of Fayetteville, and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Union Valley Baptist Church Building Fund in Beebe.
