Geneva Vocque Ammann, 79, of Little Rock, loving wife, mother and grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 14, 2010. She was born in Little Rock to Eugene and Juanita Blaylock Vocque. She attended Woodlawn Baptist Church for many years and was a member of the Sunshine Class whom she dearly loved.
Geneva was a lifelong resident of Little Rock and retired from Osco Drugs. She touched many lives with her dignity and strength, always putting family and friends first. She was loved by many and will be missed greatly by all.
Preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sue Vocque Paulette, she is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Robert Ammann; children, Nick Ammann and wife, Sylvia of Benton, James Havniear of Little Rock, Juanita Camp and husband, Don of Pryor, Oklahoma, Mary Middleton and husband, David of Little Rock, Eva Riggs and husband, Randy of Paron, Martha Gueringer and husband, Mike of Conway and Janice Ammann of Little Rock. Also surviving are her sisters and brothers, Billie Bethurem, Betty Michael Moore, Judy Studer, Lynn Ford, Jeannie Larch, Bob Vocque, Jackie Vocque and Jerry Vocque; fifteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Friday, September 17 at 12:00 Noon at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 5520 Woodlawn, officiated by Bro. Jimmie Hefner. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.).
