Vivian Marie Wieland, 84, of Stephens City, Virginia, died Tuesday, December 18, 2018 in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Wieland was born May 7, 1934 in Dallas County, Arkansas, daughter of the late Lewis F. Overton and Dwight Katherine Goza Overton.

She was a secretary for Prince William County Schools.

After the passing of her first husband, Golden W. Williams, she married William H. Wieland.  He, too   preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Williams Hughes, widow of the late Thomas E. Hughes, of Boyce, VA and Brenda Williams Ewing and her husband, Mike, of Stephens City, VA; brother, Floyd Jackie Overton of Gurdon, AR; grandchildren, Lindsay Hughes Roye and her husband, Aaron of Lake Ridge, VA, Jennifer Newman and her husband, Colin, of Washington, DC and Kyle Ewing of Stephens City, VA; great-grandchildren, Gavin and Gabriel Roye; step-daughter, Deloris Wieland Linaberry; step-grandchildren, Sean Wieland of Washington, DC, Jonathan Wieland of Palm Springs, CA, Matthew Linaberry of Kettering, OH, and Erin Foster of Loganville, GA.

Her brother, Alton Overton, and step-son, William Wieland, preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 P. M. Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Sycamore, AR.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 P. M. prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff at Fox Trail Assisted Living for the care given to their mother during her time with them.
