Vivian Bencick

Vivian Nell (Green) Bencick, age 87, passed away Friday, March 18, 2016 at St. Vincent's Hospital - LR. Vivian was born in Malvern, AR and grew up in the nearby Gifford community where many members of her family lived.

Vivian (Baje) was preceded in death by her son, John; her parents, Will T. and Ida B. Green; brothers and their wives: Maxwell (Juanita), Monice (Mary), Jack (Hazel), and Bill (Sue).

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, John; son, Larry; granddaughters, Lauren and Lindsay; brother, Tommy (Deanie) Green; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Vivian, a Henderson State College graduate, taught elementary grades in the Glen Rose, Malvern, and Little Rock School Districts for 39 years and retired in 1986.

The Bencicks joined the Geyer Springs United Methodist Church where Vivian was very active in UMW, Circle, and various committee activities. She loved her church and its members. Vivian was always outgoing, loved to laugh, and had a warm personality; everyone loved her and enjoyed being around her.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the nursing staff of the MICU Unit of St. Vincent's Hospital in Little Rock.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm at Huson Funeral Home, 6400 Mabelvale Pike, Little Rock, AR 72209.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Geyer Springs United Methodist Church, 5500 Geyer Springs Rd, Little Rock, AR 72209.

Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, AR.
