Virginia Wilson, age 85 of Texarkana formerly of Arkadelphia died Tuesday, Oct 3, 2006 at St. Michael's Hospital. She was born June 13, 1921 in Malvern, the daughter of the late Henry Paul and Mattie Lou Bryeans. She was a retired employee of the Sears Catalog Store in Arkadelphia, a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary serving as the local director of the American Legion Girls State program and served as an officer for the local PTA. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and of the Presbyterian Women's Auxillary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hayne Wilson, Sr. and one brother, L.C. Pullen.
Survivors include one son, Hayne Wilson, Jr and wife, Deborah of Titusville, FL; two daughters, Paula Crawford of Texarkana, AR and Lynne Cooley and husband, Don of Nashville, AR; two brothers, Sonny Paul Bryeans of Whittier, CA and Gabe Bryeans of Fullerton, Ca; one sister, Sue Reid of Whittier, CA; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM. Friday, Oct 6, 2006 in Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel. Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 till service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Arkadelphia.
