Virginia Lois Walker

Virginia Lois Walker, Age 83, passed from this life on Saturday, June 11, 2022. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on February 3, 1939, to Edward Vanden Burg and Tena Huisman Vanden Burg. Preceding her in death are her parents; two sisters, Janet Hendrix and Yvonne Hathcock.

She was a loving mother and survived by her son, Stephen A. Walker of Arkadelphia; two daughters, Tina Louise Cooper of Royal, AR and Linda Marie Helms of Hot Springs, AR; a loving grandmother to her five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one brother, Clayton Vanden Berg of Littleton, Colorado; one sister, Barbara Page of Arkadelphia.

Virginia was a graduate of Henderson State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She was also a retired security guard from the Pine Bluff Work Release. She was a foster grandparent at Perritt Elementary and was the caregiver for several people in the Arkadelphia area.

Service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Caney Cemetery.
