Virginia Steele

Virginia Faye Davidson Steele, 88, of Little Rock, passed away Friday, November 14, 2014. She was born April 10, 1926 in Manila, Arkansas to W.M. and Mazie Davidson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse of 64 years, Rev. Norris Steele, her daughter, Allidel Steele Whitwell, her brother Bill Davidson, and her sister Anabeth Holt. Virginia was an extremely loving woman, deeply devoted to her friends, family, and faith. She was a very compassionate, giving person and a gracious disciple of Jesus Christ and His church.
She is survived by her children, Rev. Bill Steele and wife Mary, Rev. David Steele and wife Diane, Rev. Rodney Steele and wife Becky, and son-in-law John Whitwell; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Kaye Adams.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 17, 2014 at Henderson United Methodist Church, 13000 West Baseline Road, Little Rock, Arkansas, 72210. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Henderson United Methodist Church or Manila First United Methodist Church. Interment will be Tuesday, November 18th, 11:00 a.m. at the Manila Cemetery, Manila, Arkansas.
