Virginia "Ginny" Booker Wilhelm

Virginia “Ginny” Booker Wilhelm, 72, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away from this life on July 10, 2022 at Baptist Health Medical Center. Virginia was born to Tommy J. Booker and Ruth (Ruthie) Lovett Booker on Christmas Day 1949. She spent her younger years growing up in Harrison before moving to North Little Rock. While at North Little Rock High School, Virginia met the love of her life, Ronald R. Wilhelm. They married on January 14, 1976, and started their married life in Reno, Nevada, where they both worked in the casino industry. After returning to Arkansas, Virginia worked for both federal and state agencies before retirement.

Virginia will be remembered for her love of animals and her generous donations to local animal shelters. Virginia also had a love of gems, rocks and minerals. She was a longtime member of the Central Arkansas Gem, Mineral & Geology Association and continued to be active in this association until her death. Virginia was also a proud alumnus of Delta Delta Delta and stayed in contact throughout her adult life with many of her sorority sisters.

Virginia is predeceased by her husband, Ronald R. Wilhelm; her parents, Tommy and Ruthie Booker; and her beloved cat, Sammie. Left to cherish her memory are her cousins, Carol (Terry) Bohannan of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Sylvia (Kip) Gaines of Sherman, Texas; “nephews”, Chance (Ashley) Bohannan and their daughter Allee, of Benton, Arkansas, Nate (Makayla) Bohannan of North Little Rock, Arkansas; and a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.

As requested by Virginia, there will be no funeral service. Donations can be made in her memory to the Saline County Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
