Virgina Louise Jones

Virginia Louise Jones (Gina), 73, of Little Rock, AR. Passed away on April 7, 2023.

She was born on July 24th, 1949, to the late Meyer Franklin Marks and Martha Ann DeRossitt Marks.

Gina graduated from Hall High School in 1967 and then attended Arkansas State University.  After a 20-year career at St. Vincent’s Infirmary, Gina retired as Manager of the Gift Shop.  She then moved to Ono Island, in Orange Beach, Alabama. For those who knew her, knew that Gina developed her keen eye for fashion and design after her move to the gulf coast. She immensely enjoyed designing and building her dream home and spending time with her friends on the island. Unfortunately, Gina developed numerous health issues that required her to move back to Arkansas in 2013.

Gina is survived by her son Scott (Meghan) Miller. Three grandchildren; Carson (Steven) Guatemala, Wilson Miller, & Beau Miller. One great grandchild; Cruz Guatemala. Brother, Meyer Franklin Marks, Jr. of Estonia in Northern Europe. One aunt; Frances Edens of Oakolona, MS. Niece; Elizabeth Earl of Fairhope, AL. Ex-Mother-in-law; Lanell Hunt of Bryant. And numerous cousins. She is also proceeded by the death of her younger sister, Frances Marks Earl (Bill Ed).

Gina’s wishes were to have her ashes spread in the Gulf of Mexico, near her home in Orange Beach, AL. A private ceremony to celebrate Gina’s life and to carry out her final wishes will commence at a future date to be determined.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the countless healthcare providers that assisted Gina throughout the years.
