Virgil Sanders
Virgil Lee Sanders, 80 of North Little Rock , passed away at his residence on Tuesday, April 7, 2009. He was born on October 14, 1928 in Johnson City , Illinois ; he was the son of Rufus Sanders and Edith Willoughby Sanders.
Virgil was a retired United States Air Force Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam War. He was a past member of the Duffer's Club of Camp Robinson, and a retired agent from Allstate Insurance and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church .
He is survived by a wife Patsy Jean Sanders of North Little Rock, two sons Wade Sanders of North Little Rock and Michael Sanders of Little Rock; two daughters Carol Tilley of Little Rock and Diana Cates North Little Rock; a sister Kay Sanders; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 10, 2009 at Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery in North Little Rock .
