Violet Anna (Dodie) Trunkenbolz departed this life for one with her heavenly father on January 22, 2015 at her home. Her daughter was by her side.
Violet (Dodie) was born January 13, 1925 in Hazelgreen, MO to William Anderson and Anne Clara (Coleman) Watson, the youngest of six children. She grew up in the Independence Baptist Church of Richland, MO.
Relocating to Hot Springs in 1963, she made her living as a waitress and restaurant hostess for many years before retiring She loved her gardens and working in them, year round. In later years, she enjoyed being a member of the Hot Springs Emblem Club #194 serving several years as Chaplain and, also, Chaplain for the Arkansas State Assn of Emblem Clubs.
She is survived by her daughter Jeanie Lea, and sister Kathryn Almedia Salsman Portell of Richland, Mo. Nephews, Bob & J L Watson, Tulsa, OK., Ronnie Salsman, Conway, Mo. Niece Edna Marie (Salsman) Roberts of Waynesville, Mo. Numerous great, great- great and great-great-great nephews and nieces.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Brothers Lee Roy & Willie Brooks, Sisters Alice and Marie Isabella Trower, and nephews William Monroe & Herman Otto (Bud) Trower.
Memorials can be made to Arkansas Hospice, Hot Springs or the Hot Springs Emblem Club #194 Scholarship Fund.
Services will be scheduled at a later date at Oaklawn Cemetery, Richland, Mo.
