Violet Elaine Holloway, 89, of Lufkin, Texas, was born September 26, 1917 in Russellville, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Luarnet (Russell) and Jerome Coffman. She passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2007, in a Lufkin hospital.
Mrs. Holloway was a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She loved cooking and quilting, and one of her biggest passions were her flower gardens. Mrs. Holloway had previously been employed with the Arkansas State Hospital. A former longtime resident of North Little Rock, Arkansas, she had lived in Lufkin for the past three years.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn Fugitt, Patsy and Ed Rios, and Maria and Marion Abner, all of Lufkin; sons, Winston Holloway and Kenneth Holloway, both of Arkansas; twelve grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Preceding Mrs. Holloway in death were her husband, Joseph E. Holloway, and a son, Joseph A. (Joey) Holloway.
