Violet Craft Simmons, age 73, of Hot Spring, died Saturday, September 26, 2020.
She was born on July 13, 1947, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of Edward Heath and Anna Stites Heath. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Craft; her parents; two brothers, Roy Heath and Rocky Heath; and one sister, Louise Heath.
Violet was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Glenwood. She also enjoyed volunteering for the Helping Hands Store.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Simmons of Hot Springs; one son and daughter-in-law, James and Shelly Craft of Kirby; one daughter, Christina Henson of Hot Springs; two grandchildren, Payton Henson and James Craft, II; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Agnis and Willis Tolliver and Ellen Johnson, all of Ohio; three nephews; three nieces; and a host of wonderful friends.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, September 28, 2020, in the Grace Baptist Church with Bro. James Owens officiating.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until service time, at the church.
Social distancing directives will be in place with no more than 66% of the total seating capacity occupied at the church, avoidance of physical contact and all attendees 10 years of age or older must be wearing a face covering at all times during the service.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
