Vida Ann Cogburn

Vida Ann Cogburn, age 77, of Glenwood, died Wednesday, December 24, 2014. She was born on March 29, 1937 at Dierks, the daughter of Wesley Nathaniel Porter and Martha Sue Austin Porter. On March 11, 1956, she was married to Dewey "Boe" Cogburn who preceded her in death on April 14, 2014. She enjoyed being outdoors camping, hunting, fishing and working in her rose gardens. She had a big heart for anyone's children and always enjoyed taking care of them anytime she was needed. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially all of her grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Doris Godines and Regina Griffith both of Glenwood; six grandchildren and their spouses, Darla and Larry Theoboldt, David and Bonnie Godines, Larry "Baldy" Parker, Brandon and Cheryl Cogburn, Mary and Angelo Quiroz and Michael and Brandy Griffith; nineteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Cogburn of Merkel, Texas, Verlene Cogburn of Lodi and Bessie Williams of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 28, 2014, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Joe Cogburn officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Tommy Cogburn, Benny Cogburn, Angelo Quiroz, Jr., Joe Quiroz, David Godines and Chris Trujillo. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Mann, Russell Man, Trey Medina, Charlie Calhoun, Eric Cogburn and James Cogburn. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
