Victoria Cogburn Cahoon, age 43, of Glenwood, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022.
She was born on January 9, 1979, in Murfreesboro, the daughter of Kenneth Ray “Dankey” Cogburn and Janice Kay Duggan Cogburn. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bennett “Nort” and Octavia Cogburn, Vernice Johnson and Alfred Duggan; and her beloved dog, “Stimpy”.
Victoria had a great passion for spending time outdoors, especially when she was camping, fishing and floating the Caddo River, which were all some of her most favorite things to do. Victoria’s greatest joy in life was being a NeNa to her precious grandbabies, who were her world. There were so many members of her family that she loved and adored, and she was so proud of her children and grandbabies. Throughout Victoria’s life, she endured many years of sickness, but she never allowed anything to interfere with taking care of her family, always making sure to show them that she loved them with all of her heart. While we will all deeply miss our precious Victoria/NeNa, we take great joy in knowing that she is no longer in any pain, weakness or suffering in any way, but instead she is dancing with the Angels.
She is survived by her mother and father, Janice and Dankey Cogburn of Glenwood; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Charlie and Tasha Cogburn and Brad Cogburn, all of Glenwood; four daughters and one son-in-law, Maria and Cohl Ramey, Kaytlin Cogburn, Jasper Cahoon and Leona Murphy, all of Glenwood; her fourteen grandbabies, Addyson, Ashlynn, Adalynn, Caleb, Clayton, Pipper, Conner, Skylynn, Jackson, Kyler, McKenna, Kaiden, Lyla, Archer and three more grandbabies on the way; two brothers, Scotty and Jennifer Freeman of Glenwood and Trinity Cogburn and Amanda Harvey, of Chester, Illinois; one sister, Nickie Freeman of Glenwood; the love of her life, Jackie Murphy of Glenwood; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 17, 2022, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Tony Hill and Bro. Kyle Cowart officiating.
Visitation will be held Friday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Newhope.
Pallbearers will be her sons, Charlie Cogburn, Brad Cogburn, her nephews, Scott Freeman, Linzy Yandell, Trent Freeman and Trey Medina.
