Victor A. Banaszak, of North Little Rock went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 14, 2015. He was born July 14, 1933 in North Little Rock to the Edward and Antonia Banaszak.
He is survived by his wife Theresa Banaszak; daughters, Donna Banaszak, and Janice Sponer; son, Allan Banaszak, all of North Little Rock; four grandchildren; brother, Edmond Banaszak and sisters, Cecilia Zakrzewski and Irene Banaszak also of North Little Rock. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Kay Banaszak, his parents, and a brother, Alois Banaszak.
Dad was a parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. He was raised in Marche, was active in the Army National Guard and was a devoted husband. Victor worked at Union Pacific and then later at Rock Island Railroad until 1980. Once retired, he worked as a talented carpenter and handyman in the Marche and North Little Rock area, also devoted time to family and church. Papa enjoyed supporting family and friends. His favorite pastime was fellowship with friends at Bobby's, working in his shop and watching Texas Ranger.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday March 17 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 7025 Jasna Gora, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72118. A rosary service will commence at 6:00 p.m. Monday at the church, with visitation immediately following.
