Verner Dumas

Verner Wardell ?Buddy? Dumas, 88, of North little Rock passed away Friday, May 15, 2009. He was a retired U.S. Air Force veteran of WWII and Korea. He worked for the Arkansas Highway Department where he retired after 18 years of service. Mr. Dumas was a member of the Masonic Lodge #864 Montgomery, Alabama and he attended the L.R.A.F.B. Chapel.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Catherine Dumas of NLR; daughter, Cheryl Beaty & Richard Beaty of Granbury, Texas; brother, James L. Dumas of Chowchilla, CA.; grandchildren, Shannon and Jody Wilson, Carrie Staats and Ricky Staats; great grandchildren, Kiah, Jacob and Avery Wilson; several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Alzheimer?s, 10411 W. Markham St., Little Rock, AR. 72205.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Searcy, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M., Sunday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St. 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
