Verne Waters
Verne John "Capt. Beetle" Waters, 67, of North Little Rock passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012. He was retired from Union Pacific Railroad with over 30 years of service. His hobbies included hunting, collecting coins, reading books and gardening. He loved his grandchildren, enjoyed sitting under his tree, and visiting with his friends.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Celesta Waters, of North Little Rock; daughter, Tammy Marie Goldberg and husband, Sean, of Bella Vista, Arkansas; son, John Reed Waters and wife, Jennifer of North Little Rock; six grandchildren, Kelley, Reigh-Anne, Reed, Josey, Carson and Kasey; brother, Robert Waters and wife, Terry, of Claremore, Oklahoma; sister, Jeannie Jackson and husband, Andrew, of Tacoma, Washington; and brother, Randy Waters, of Derby, Kansas, one niece and five nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Verne and Louise Waters.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery on Clinton Road in Marche.
