Verna E. Berry

Verna E. Berry, age 90, of Kirby, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018. She was born on April 30, 1928 in Kirby, the only child of the late Clebern C. Berry and Gladys Dunlap Berry. Verna worked for many years as a bank teller at the Bank of Glenwood, now Diamond Bank, and the Bank of Amity, now Chambers Bank. She was a member of the Kirby Church of Christ. She is survived by her cousins. Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, December 21, 2018, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Gary Welch officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
