Vera Oglesby

Vera Warrick Oglesby, 91, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011 in North Little Rock. She was born and raised in Dermott/McGehee, Arkansas on December 28, 1919. Vera and her husband lived in Arlington, Virginia and Atlanta, Georgia. After her husband's death, Vera lived in Conway, Arkansas then moved to Marche to live with her niece, Vicki Snow Gottsponer, who was her caretaker for eight years. Vera was of the Baptist faith; she loved life and her family and was a very outgoing person who made everyone feel special. We are all blessed to have shared Aunt Vera so many years and she will be greatly missed.
Vera is preceded in death by her parents and eleven siblings, as well as her husband, James Roy Oglesby. She is survived by four generations of nieces, nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m., Wednesday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday at Providence Cemetery, Meadville, Mississippi.
