Vera Watkins Ehemann, 93, of North Little Rock passed away Thursday, August 07, 2014. She was born in 1920 and reared in England. She was a war bride, after meeting Mr. Ehemann at a Valentine Dance. She volunteered for over 20 years with Helping Hand, was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Altar Society and Catholic Daughters until her death.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Bajorek (Mike); brother, Dennis Watkins; six grandchildren, Keith Wenger (Jennifer), Karen Singleton (David), Steve Wenger, Jeff Wenger (Stephany), Chris Wenger (Mandy) and Evan Ehemann; and fifteen great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Rachel, Nicholas, Tanner, Parker, Vivianne and Camryn Wenger, Eli Ehemann, Noah and Chance Fitzpatrick, Alec and Jack Layland, Camber Knight, Madelyn Shuckman and Hailey Haubold, and numerous extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lucy Nightingale Watkins; husband, Lawrence G. Ehemann; son, Dennis Ehemann; granddaughter, Korie Ehemann; and two brothers, Ron Watkins and Harry Pritchett.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Helping Hand, 1601 Marshall Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72202.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home followed by a rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at a later date in Atkins Catholic Cemetery.
