Venus Carson McElwaine, 63, internationally known as Parisdreamer and SFF's most popular blogger, passed away from pancreatic cancer on May 29, 2007. Predeceased by husband, Robert McElwaine, she is survived by her sons, Cody Carson (Mae), Bodey Carson, Ed Williams; stepdaughter, Kandy Hyde (Bud); sister, CaVonna Eskola (Glenn); grandchildren: Christopher Carson, Reed Carson, McKenzie Carson, Cruz Carson, Misty Pritchett (Johnathan) and Denny Siler (Kristie); and great-grandchildren: Zachary Siler-Pritchett, Noah Pritchett and Sarah Katherine Pritchett.
Venus worked as an Interior Decorator, a Real Estate Agent and a Pre-Arrangement Counselor. She had an avid curiosity and enjoyed her membership in the Pinnacle Chapter of the Questors. Her most recent and enjoyable accomplishment was as a Senior Friend Finder, award winning writer/blogger. She is loved and will be missed by her SFF "family" around the world. Her chosen charities are New Outlook/the Women's Cancer Recovery Center at St. Vincent's and the Humane Society.
Visitation is this evening, Friday, June 1, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2 at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Jeannie Burton. Burial will follow in Spring Valley Cemetery.
