Velma Karchefski

Velma Karchefski, age 77, of Glenwood, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015. She was born on February 19, 1937, in San Angelo, Texas, the daughter of Warren Roberts and Gracie Underwood Roberts. On March 12, 1957, she married the love of her life, Ronald Karchefski. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, William Sonny Roberts. She was a member of the Glenwood Assembly of God Church. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Karchefski of Glenwood; two children, Mary Karchefski of Glenwood and Frank Karchefski and his wife, Ying, of Nashville, Tennessee; three grandsons, Jeramy Karchefski, Christopher Karchefski and Francis Karchefski and his wife, Ayala; one great-granddaughter, Emila Karchefski; two sisters, Verna Adams of Jackson, Tennessee and Helen Waymaster of Royal Oak, Michigan; and one brother, Daniel Roberts of Oregon, Ohio. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 14, 2015, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Bob Wiyott officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
