Velma Jones
Velma Marguerite Jones, 98, of Little Rock, passed away October 11, 2018. Born in Canton, Ohio to James and Dora Crider Brown, she was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a Registered Nurse.
She is survived by her sons, Philip Jones (Alice) of Little Rock and Vernon Lee Jones of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Rachel Biedron (Matt), Kevin Jones, Jessica Hanson and Joshua Killett (Carol); great-grandchildren, Rebecca Goolsby and Catherine Goolsby; and other family and friends.
A special thanks to the staffs of Woodland Heights, Hospice Home Care and UAMS for their compassionate care.
Services will be Monday, October 15 at 10:00 a.m. at Woodland Heights, 8700 Riley Drive, officiated by Rev. Roy Smith.
NOTE:
Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 2 at 2:00 p.m. at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or Hospice Home Care.
