Velda Christensen, 80, of North Little Rock passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2009.
She was a retired Grants Coordinator for Pulaski County, a member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church, Greater Little Rock Federation of Women?s Clubs, the Democratic Party, North Little Rock Woman?s Club and Rackensack Folklore Society.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Christensen; son, Joe Wills Hart, of Allen, Texas; daughter, Karen Hart Mahurin and husband, Jerry L. Mahurin, Jr. ?Bo?, of Golden, Colorado; and two grandsons, Westbrook Wills Mahurin and Maxwell W.S. Mahurin.
She was a loving wife, mother and mamaw.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M., Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St. 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
