Vela Merial (Wallace) Ford, 81, North Little Rock, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014, after a long battle with cancer. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. This beloved mother and grandmother will be forever in our hearts.
She is survived by daughters, Tina Ford and Cherie "Sam" (Joey) Mayfield; three grandchildren whom she was very proud of, Alex Ford (Temarra), Seth Mayfield and Jacob Mayfield. She was prouder still of great-grandson, Beau Ford. She is predeceased by her mother and father, Gola and Lester Wallace of England; husband Bobby G. Ford, Sr. and son Bobby Ford, Jr.
A visitation will be held from noon to 1:00 p.m., Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Casa Cemetery, Casa, Arkansas.
