Turle John Ryan

Turle Ryan, age 89, of Royal, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021.

He was born on, June 8, 1932, in Norman, AR, the son of Claude Robert Ryan and Flora Wilson Ryan. On August 24, 1991, he married Dana Howard. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Elaine Ryan Jackson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert Ryan (Jimmie), Leonard Ryan (Clora); his son, John Ryan; and his first wife and mother of his children, Harlene Bradley Ryan.

Turle was Christian in his faith and loved life. He was a Wonder Bread route man for many years as well as a U.S. Army Veteran, and a faithful member of Center Fork Missionary Baptist Church. He won many awards for his cattle. He was a handy man that could fix everything including his old tractor. Turle loved to travel and camped in every state in the United States and also visited Canada and Mexico. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Turle is survived by his wife of 30 years, Dana Ryan of Royal; his sons and spouses, Todd and Amy Ryan of Royal, Mike and Valerie Moran of Little Rock, Skip Moran of Hot Springs, Marcus and Sherri Moran of Mooresville, North Carolina; his daughter, Tammy and Kevin Firestone of Chapin, South Carolina; eight grandchildren, Kaylene Ryan, Matthew Moran, Zachary Moran, Morgan Moran, Will Easterday, Dana Johnston, Lelia Firestone and Sara Firestone; five great-grandchildren, Madelyn Moran, Lennon Moran, Dylan Moran, Harrison Moran and Logan Moran; numerous extended family members, and many good friends.

Services will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday, September 17, 2021, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs, with Bro. Scott Bates officiating.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday evening, September 16, 2021, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Gene Jackson, Marcus Moran, Chris Cash, Mike Moran, Will Easterday and Lyndale Bradley.
